One-of-a-Kind Vintage Rug in Noelle's Room
I am so excited about today's post because it's bright, happy, and I get to share Noelle's one-of-a-kind vintage rug...plus a peek at her almost-finished bedroom. This room has not come together easily. We've installed wallpaper and taken it down, set up a bed only to find it was too big for the room, and driven an hour to buy Noelle a desk that's apparently out of stock until after the new year. But, instead of focusing on how difficult this space has been, I'm choosing to enjoy it's slow progress and celebrate the little wins, like her beautiful vintage rug that has proven to be my favorite design decision in this space. When it was time to choose a rug from Revival, I knew it would be overwhelming because they have the most incredible and exhaustive collection of vintage rugs. So, I narrowed my choices down and let Noelle make the final decision. She knew from the moment she saw this beauty (called the Floriean) that it was the one.It has all the muted, pastel colors she loves, with her favorite shade of pink taking center stage, plus the most charming tassels on either end. The tassels are what really set this rug apart from the rest for her. To be completely honest, I was nervous about Noelle's selection because choosing a rug online can be scary, and this one has so much saturated color that I wasn't sure how it would look in person versus on a computer screen. When it arrived, I opened the box and gasped...it was stunning. The colors were perfectly subtle and muted, and it is the softest rug I've ever felt. It also rolled out completely flat right out of the package. It far exceeded any expectations I had. Funny Story: Noelle picked out lemon wallpaper for her room before we received this rug, and when it arrived, I immediately had doubts about the two working together. But I hung the wallpaper anyway because Noelle and I just had to see it on the wall. After the paper went up, I knew it wouldn't work with the rug. So, I asked Noelle which one she'd rather keep, the one-of-a-kind vintage rug or the sweet lemon wallpaper. There was never any hesitation...the rug won hands down, and it's easy to see why. I've worked with and ordered from Revival Rugs since the launch of their company, and every time I receive a rug from them, they are thoughtfully packaged, meticulously cleaned and revived, and of course, of the highest quality. Noelle's one-of-a-kind vintage rug is one of those heirloom pieces I will pass down because there is literally nothing else like it in the world, and it was made to withstand the test of time. I love it so much that now I want to find one for Hannah's bedroom. As someone who appreciates unique style and a collected home, this rug just speaks my love language. And the fact that Noelle picked it out based on her personality makes it even more special than it already was.I'm so close to being done with her room, and I'm excited for her to have her own sweet space to dream in, create in, and snuggle her new kitty in. You may have seen peeks of her room on Instagram, but here's one more peek. The next time you see this space it will be for the big reveal! We're enjoying all the changes we've made in here so far, but I can taste the finish line, and I'm reinvigorated to push through to the end. I can't believe it's been one year since my uncle framed out the built-in bookshelves and built the window seat! It's okay...the best things really do take time. Do you own any vintage rugs? What do you think of Noelle's choice for her bedroom? I'd love to hear from you in the comments below, and stay tuned for the reveal!
