Itinerary for the Wildflower Retreat
Oct 16: PRIVATE CHAMPAGNE RECEPTION & WELCOME DINNER
After getting settled into your room, you will meet the other guests over a glass of bubbly and a lovely meal, during which Marynn will give an overview of the week and present welcome gifts.
Oct 17: ANTIQUING DAY
Following breakfast at the inn, Marynn will give a short lecture on “The Art of Antiquing”. You will then board a private charter bus and spend the day shopping at the best antique shops in Chatham, Brewster, Harwich Port, and Sandwich, followed by lunch on the water at Fisherman’s View. After a bit more antiquing, you’ll have free time in the late afternoon before an unforgettable, five-star dining experience at 28 Atlantic…Cape Cod’s finest restaurant with an interior as exquisite as the food. The evening will end with a cozy fireside chat, show-and-tell from the day’s antiquing, and a special gift to you from Marynn.
Oct 18: LITTLE WOMEN DAY
You will receive a gourmet boxed breakfast en route to Concord, where our group will take a private tour of Orchard House (Little Women-Alcott House) and Sleepy Hollow, followed by a farm-to-table lunch at Saltbox Kitchen and some local shopping. We will grab an afternoon coffee or tea and head back to the Chatham Bars Inn for some free time before dinner at the Sacred Cod…an enchanting pub inside the resort. The evening will end with a nightcap and gifts by the fire.
Oct 19: WORKSHOP DAY
After breakfast, you’ll attend Workshop 1: Styling and Photography - Learn how to style for different situations and create feeling through your photography, even with your phone camera. There will be a short break before attending Workshop 2: Pattern and Color Mixing - Whether you’re a professional or a homemaker, this hands-on session will give you the confidence to mix patterns and colors like a pro. Lunch will be at the Brewster Fish House, and we’ll do some shopping on Main Street in Chatham. Our last dinner together will be a traditional Cape Cod clam bake, followed by a s’mores dessert bonfire by the cove.
Oct 20: FAREWELL BRUNCH & BONUS EXCURSION
It’s Sunday…feel free to sleep in a little before our private farewell brunch. You will receive a special, surprise gift, and everyone will have a chance to talk about their favorite part of the retreat and say goodbye to friends made. Afterward, there will be a bonus, surprise excursion for those who can stay until the late afternoon.
There is something truly magical about exploring Cape Cod.
The Local Experience
On this trip, you’ll stay in one of Cape Cod’s most historic inns and be immersed in a part of America that embraces a slower pace and celebrates the natural, regional beauty. From lobster rolls to lighthouses, iconic Cape Cod culture will be the backdrop to the memories you’ll make on this retreat.
Shopping and Excursions
Whether you're a seasoned antiquarian or a casual enthusiast, you’ll enjoy shopping at all my favorite haunts in quaint, 17th-century towns on The Cape. Carefully curated excursions will immerse you in the area’s history and culture, providing the same inspiration I have drawn from New England.
Engulfed in History
Cape Cod is steeped in a rich tapestry of history that is both humbling and inspiring. You’ll be surrounded by that history from the moment you step foot on The Cape, and experience firsthand how it has given me a love of storytelling through design.
