Christmas Home Tour | 2019
Welcome, and come on in to see my Christmas Home Tour. If I could invite you to come to my annual Holiday Thrift Exchange, this is how my house would look for the party. Since I can't have you over in real life, this is the next best thing! So grab a cup of something warm, cozy up, and let's take a look around. I promise you don't want to miss them!Entryway:Right inside the front door (to see my full Christmas porch, click here), my favorite entry mirror would greet you, along with the only area that stays put together at all times (this makes it my favorite).
Formal Living Room:Just to the right of my entry area is my jewel-toned Town and Country Christmas tree in the formal living room. My whole family is in love with this rich, colorful tree, and I love that it's one of the first things people see when they enter our home. You can see more of this space here.
In that same space is the wreath wall I created after several months of thinking about the idea. I'm so glad I went for it!
Staircase:From the formal living room, you'd notice the staircase draped in garland, paper stars and satin ribbon. To see how I created this look, click here.
Minimal Christmas Tree:And that would lead you up to our charming little loft, where you'd see this sweet little King of Christmas tree adorned with glass, ceramic, and wood ornaments all in golds, whites, and neutrals. It's perfectly magical and I don't ever want to take it down.
I used a combination of wooden nutcracker and ceramic ornaments, glass pine cones, and my favorite gold pomegranates on this King Noble tree.
Family Room:After that, you'd come back downstairs and head into the family room. This room is definitely more restrained since this room gets so much everyday wear and tear, but I love the cozy minimal feel of it.
I found these tiny vintage ornaments at a local antique store recently and I love the detail on them so much that I decided to put them out on display.
I've really got a thing for satin ribbon this Christmas season, so I added one to this vintage, oversized jingle bell.
By far, this collection of antique Santa nesting dolls is my family's favorite Christmas decoration to unpack every year. We've had them for years, and I know they'll be a nostalgic Christmas memory for years to come.
For weeks I've been staring at this windmill artwork and thinking that if I owned the windmill, I would hang a wreath above the door. So I fashioned a miniature wreath out of clippings, tied a tiny satin bow, and hung it up with tape. I couldn't be more pleased with how this 5-minute craft turned out.
I mean, look at how cute it is!
