Elegant New Year's Eve Tablescape

This elegant New Year's Eve tablescape features fresh white flowers, warm brass accents, and delightful desserts to ring in the new year. 
I'm thrilled to be joining some friends to bring you ideas for setting a New Year's Eve tablescape. This holiday can be tricky to decorate for, as it's traditionally associated with the colors black and silver, and often a flashy disco ball. I challenged myself to put my own twist on a New Year's Eve celebration using what I already had, and here is what I came up with.
Elegant New Year's Eve Tablescape
This table setting needed to flow well with our Christmas tree but also be fun and thematic enough for my girls. So, I included my vintage tabletop clock to give a visual of the start of a new year and filled the dishes with desserts I knew my girls would love. 
I started this tablescape with sparkling white grape juice topped with fresh cranberries, but halfway through the shoot I swapped it out for water because I thought it would photograph better. Both are beautiful, but I love the golden color of the sparkling grape juice better, and I should have left it alone. Oh well. 
The Details
Using what I already have in new and interesting ways fuels my creativity and helps our family's bottom line. These are our everyday dishes and silverware, but I added special place mats and linen napkins tied with a delicate satin bow and sprig of cedar to liven them up.
Every time I create in this way, my girls are learning that it doesn't take much to create a festive atmosphere for guests or your family.
New Year's Eve Place Setting
This place setting reminds me of winter and the fresh new start we all get at the stroke of midnight on New Year's Eve. The greenery bridges Christmas with New Year's Eve and is a visual reminder that spring is on it's way.
My girls were drooling over all the goodies in the vintage ice cream dishes I've collected from thrift stores. Putting them out on the table is a fun way to add edible decor, but also provide dessert without having to serve it on a plate.
This season I've been all about the delicate satin bows all over everything. It's such a simple way to add a touch of sweetness and femininity. I love the idea of a bow as a napkin ring. 
Tablescape Inspiration
This brass deer head vase was the jumping off point of this whole tablescape. I wanted to use it because it reminds me of winter and looks amazing with big fluffy hydrangeas.
Isn't this vase to die for? It was a total score from a local antique shop.
Well, the table's all set and ready for the big countdown. I'm so happy with how this turned out and that it's not over the top glitzy. It speaks to the New Year's Eve holiday in an elegant, understated, fresh-start sort of way.I already know my girls are looking forward to gathering around this table and sharing one last meal in 2019.
