June Pinterest Faves and Saves - I'm Gettin' Ideas

This June Pinterest Faves and Saves post is long overdue, as I have been on a hiatus for a few months. I'm back to blogging regularly now, and we have some exciting projects coming up, including our biggest project to date, which means I've been on Pinterest a lot. Pinterest is still my number one source of inspiration and the only way I can visually convey my ideas to Jeff. I can't wait to share what's been inspiring me on Pinterest lately and all the ideas swirling in my head. hallway with credenza and tree1 | Customized Pelmet: Having just come off of a ten-day trip to Franklin, Tennessee, I'm bursting with traditional southern design inspiration, including pelmets (otherwise known as cornices). I've always loved the tailored look of them, but living in California has skewed my design perspective and made me believe these are too fussy and formal. Not anymore! I've decided I'm doing a version of this in our formal living room to cover up the Somfy motorized curtain rod. The brackets on the rod don't look that bad, but we are going to be adding two more windows to that space, and I think all the brackets will look cluttered. Customized pelmets will clean up the look and add a bit of southern charm to our formal living room. I love how the trim defines the shape on these. p.s. I'm sorry for the fuzziness of some of the photos. The originals were too small to enlarge at full resolution, but I didn't want to let that stop me from sharing the visuals of my ideas with you. formal living room with pelmet2 | Arched Black Cabinet With Rich Wood Interior: I've been wanting to address the inside of my black arched cabinet since I purchased it off of Facebook Marketplace, but haven't made a final decision. I almost took the plunge and painted the interior black, but after seeing this gorgeous arched black cabinet with rich wood interior, I'm reconsidering. I think I may gel stain the interior to a richer wood tone, and if I still want to paint it black, I can. If I were to paint it black first, there would be no changing that. arched black cabinet3 | Focused Yet Eclectic Gallery Wall Moment: If you've been here long, you know of my sincere love for "moments" in a home. I even wrote a post about home moments. When I saw this one, a light bulb went on in my head about some wall space in my house that's been stumping me lately. What I love is that every picture in this gallery wall is a dog (subject continuity) but the styles of the art and framing are all different.I know the image isn't super clear, which is normally a big no no for my blog, but I couldn't save it any larger or clearer. You know I must really love an image or idea if I'm willing to share a fuzzy-ish picture here on the blog. I can't wait to take this idea and do something fun with it at home. peach floral chair with dog gallery wall above4 | Decorative Cabinet Door Cutouts: So I'll let you in a little secret. This is an idea that has already turned into a reality in Noelle's room. I just haven't shared it yet because I'm saving it for the big room reveal that has been nearly two years in the making. My dear friend's husband is making custom doors for the bottom portion of Noelle's built-ins, and he's using a special machine to cut out this type of design into the doors. I can NOT wait! It's going to be so charming and special.mudroom with dark cabinetry5 | Tabletop Tree: Last, but certainly not least...after seeing this image, I need an almost full-size tree for my entryway console table. We have suuuuuper high ceilings in our entryway, and the mirror above the console table is so big that I could set a really tall tree on the table and it still wouldn't reach the top of the mirror. I've never quite settled on a styling look I love for our entry console because it's extremely shallow but also ridiculously high. It's always been a bit awkward. The small scale lamp combined with the large tree intrigues me, and I just have to try this out at home to see if it helps me love that area of my home a bit more. hallway with credenza and treeSo there you have it...June's Pinterest faves and saves. Ahhhh, it's nice to be back to blogging and sharing all the ideas running through my head and hopefully coming to fruition in my home. I love interacting with you on here, so let me know in the comments below which image or idea was your favorite for this month. Also, remember to follow me on Pinterest for more ideas and inspiration!signatureYou might also be interested in:https://wildflowerhomeinteriors.com/incorporating-vintage-pieces-into-any-room/https://wildflowerhomeinteriors.com/pinterest-faves-and-saves-may-edition/
