Master Bedroom Dresser Styling

Styling a master bedroom dresser doesn't have to be complicated or costly. Our master bedroom dresser looks so much better after removing the unsightly TV and shopping our home for meaningful, beautiful décor.

The Master Bedroom Dilemma

I recently shared on Instagram my struggle with TV in the master bedroom. My husband is a night owl and likes to decompress by watching Seinfeld every night (no objection there). The problem is, I end up getting sucked into watching TV way too late. He can operate on very little sleep, while I need a solid 8-9 hours...no exceptions.

Ahhhhh, much better.master bedroom dresser stylingLet me be clear...this change had very little to do with how the TV looked in here. If I had not been so tired and wanting to create new bedtime habits, the TV would still be here. This lovely look is just a byproduct of my sleep deprivation.

The Details

This over-sized jute tassel was the only item I purchased for our master bedroom dresser styling. As soon as I brought my favorite $15 thrift-store lamp into the mix, I knew I wanted to drape a large tassel around it. I spotted this one at Joann's just a week ago and knew it would be perfect.master bedroom dresser stylingThese ceramic dishes make their way around my house because I love them in so many places, but I think they've found their permanent home. I can even use them to drop my jewelry into.master bedroom dresser styling

Meaningful Décor

Décor needs to be meaningful for me, so I gathered several items that hold special memories for me and Jeff. This glass box has a small rock I picked up on a trip we took to the mountains. I love how it looks on top of two of my favorite coffee table books.master bedroom dresser stylingAlso on top of those books is the maidenhair fern that used to be on Jeff's nightstand. It wasn't getting enough light in that location, so this worked out both for my styling and the for plant's health.master bedroom dresser stylingI knew I wanted art layered over the round mirror, but I couldn't find a smaller piece to go with the larger one. When I found this love letter Jeff wrote to me over twenty years ago, I slipped it into one of my favorite linen and brass picture frames. I couldn't love any piece of artwork more.master bedroom dresser styling

Unique Styling Pieces

My pale wood links have made their way to several locations in my house as well because they are such a fantastic and versatile décor item. I love them here, there, and everywhere, but I think they'll stay on our master bedroom dresser for quite some time.master bedroom dresser stylingSpeaking of things I love, my Chelsea Fly art is such a treasure! I've been waiting for the perfect spot to prominently display it. One unique aspect of her art (among so many) is the frayed edges of the fabric she paints on. I didn't want those edges to get lost underneath a mat, so I just mounted the art on top of a piece of watercolor paper.master bedroom dresser stylingI'm so in love with how our master bedroom dresser styling turned out! All of the elements work so beautifully together, and now our bedroom is that much closer to being the haven we need and desire.master bedroom dresser styling

Sources

I received a lot of requests to share the finished look with sources, so I put together a mood board for reference.master bedroom dresser styling

Dresser // Mirror // Lamp // Empire Shade // Wood Frame // Gold Frame // Simplicity Book // Nature of Home Book // Pot // Ruffle Bowl // Glass Box // Tassel // Pale Wood Chain

Our master bedroom looks a bit different now, thanks to a Facebook Marketplace gilded mirror makeover and a lamp switcheroo, but we are still TV-free in here, and loving it. It was especially fun to decorate for Christmas, and I'm looking forward to slowly transforming more of our master bedroom into the retreat we've been dreaming of. So, are you team TV in the bedroom or NO TV in the bedroom? Tell me in the comments below...I'm curious. signatureYou may also like:https://wildflowerhomeinteriors.com/custom-drapes-for-the-master-bedroom/https://wildflowerhomeinteriors.com/how-to-decorate-a-double-vanity-countertop/https://wildflowerhomeinteriors.com/how-to-build-floating-shelves/
